Director of Sales

Data Clymer is a fast-growing premier cloud data warehousing systems integrator. We are a remote-first organization with employees coast-to-coast and we have implemented over 150 data improvement projects; primarily with high-tech, e-commerce, and major league sports organizations.

The Director of Sales will support our mission to Enable every organization to build a culture around data. This career defining role is responsible for the overall success of Data Clymer as you have a direct impact on the growth of the organization. Specifically, you are responsible for leading all aspects of our sales team including sales targets, partner relationships, sales operations and growing team members. In addition, you will also be responsible for contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the company.

Key areas include but not limited to:

  • Projects – Producing revenue that keep our Delivery team fully utilized
  • People – Managing a team and defining growth opportunities
  • Profits – Ensuring Data Clymer’s revenue and profitability goals are obtained.

What you do:

  • Define and document the sales plan and strategy; track and record key performance indicators
  • Sell Data Clymer services to new and existing customers
  • Build a professional sales organization based on our collected vision, your experience, and team capabilities.
  • Develop sales forecasts and managing the sales pipeline
  • Account executive for key accounts
  • Define account executive functions for all clients
  • Routinely report on sales activities to upper management
  • Ensure profitability on all of our accounts
  • Grow and mentor the entire sales team, including Account Executives and SDRs
  • Improve internal systems, processes, and best practices designed to increase productivity and report on activities.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery team to ensure SOW requirements can be met
  • Effectively hand off projects to Delivery once sold to allow for smooth customer transition and implementation
  • Develop relationships with partner sales teams to find co-selling opportunities
  • Define the relationships and process with our partners
  • Partner with Marketing team to ensure sales requirements are met

  • Some travel required

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10+ years relevant experience with consulting or technology (preferably data)
  • 15 years minimum work experience
  • 5 years managing a sales team
  • Experience working in different operating model constructs such as client service delivery and shared services.
  • Experience with cloud vendor offerings.
  • Ability to produce Statements of Work (SOWs) and project plans to estimate resource requirements and scope of work documentation.
  • Strong track record in managing clients, customer engagements, sales and influencing either internal or external stakeholders
  • Demonstrates strong customer service awareness and orientation
  • Executive presence – ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Senior Management
  • Takes a collaborative, transparent approach with excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working remote and communicating effectively with the team using slack and video conferencing.
