BDR / Partner Manager

The Business Development Manager / Partner Manager is a key position at Data Clymer to help us with our mission: Enable every organization to build a culture around data. This exciting role allows you to grow your networks across sales, build sales processes, and manage alliances (partner teams). Specifically, you are responsible for creating and managing sales opportunities, and growing partner revenue.

The BDR / Partner Manager is motivated to grow a company, passionate for meeting new people, promoting their expertise and company’s expertise, finding creative ways to improve functionalities, and learning every day. Several key components of the role include: adaptability, taking ownership, having strong self management skills, critical thinking, having a track record of delivering on commitments, and being a team player who cares about their fellow team members succeeding as much as their own success.

Key areas include but not limited to:

  • People – Developing long-lasting relationships with external contacts and team members; sharing what you’ve learned and learning from others.
  • Projects – Managing all elements of internal projects to simplify internal processes and grow trust with external teams.
  • Profits – Ensuing Data Clymer’s revenue goals are obtained.

What you do:

  • Build Data Clymer to become a premier data consulting firm
  • Bring in revenue opportunities through multiple channels (e.g. partners, in-bound, and out-bound)
  • Ensure sales and partner systems are streamlined
  • Lead by example through our company values

What you do for Sales:

  • Build Sales plan and strategies with management team and help execute
  • Source and qualify new customer leads through multiple channels
  • Managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities
  • Assist Sales leadership in closing deals with customers and partners
  • Draft proposals and statements of work
  • Conduct introduction calls with prospects to educate and qualify
  • Manage sales processes and implement efficiencies as needed
  • Build and report on sales funnel to management team
  • Draft and implement sales playbook
  • Network with industry sales teams, build relationships to discover leads
  • Educate team members on sales processes and sales status
  • Manage the CRM and build reports / dashboards
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies, and delegate tasks that achieve strategic goals

What you do for Partners:

  • Be the face of Data Clymer to our partners
  • Develop and execute on Partner strategy with management team
  • Drive to make Data Clymer the #1 SI partner in our class for each partner
  • Work with management to ensure Data Clymer has met all requirements to be at the highest partnership tier possible for each technology partner
  • Deepen relationships with existing partner teams
    • Meet regularly with partner managers and partners sales team members
    • Ensure Data Clymer expertise is know and our materials are shared through the partners organization
    • Educate partner sales team on our services and customer success
    • Identify new partner sales members to educate and drive business with together
    • Conduct discovery calls with sales members to share lead intelligence
    • Build relationship with partner marketers to keep Data Clymer front of mind for joint GTM opportunities
  • Report success to partner teams, such as with content illustrating new customer wins
  • Report success or challenges to management team
